    Malacanang 26 April 2011 Yohei Sasakawa, Chairman of Nippon Foundation, and Carson Harte, Executive Director of Cambodia Trust called on President Benigno S. Aquino III to report that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the first school of prosthetics and orthotics in the Philippines, in partnership with the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Inc. (UERMMMCI). Sasakawa also personally thanked President Aquino for the sympathies and warm thoughts that he and the Filipino people has sent to the Japanese people concerning the March 11 disaster. Their visit to the Philippines also aims to promote leprosy elimination to bring awareness on how leprosy can be cured and that leprosy-affected people can also live in a happy and normal environmen...
